How Topsoil.com Works
We list 18,806 bulk suppliers across 5,749 cities — listed whether they pay us or not. It is not every yard in America — nobody has that — so if one is missing, tell us. Here is how to use it.
- 1
Search your area
Enter a city or ZIP. You get every bulk yard we can verify nearby — ranked by Google rating weighted for review volume, not by who paid us. Paid placements are labelled wherever they appear.
- 2
Compare what matters
Each listing shows hours, phone number, what the yard stocks, its Google rating and the full star breakdown. We flag which yards open Saturdays, because that decides most weekend projects.
- 3
Call for a delivered price
Bulk pricing moves with stock and season, so it is almost never published. Call two or three yards and ask for a total delivered to your address — haulage distance usually decides who is actually cheapest.
How we rank suppliers
Default ordering is editorial: Google rating weighted by review volume, so a 4.8 from 200 reviews outranks a 5.0 from three. We do sell featured placement in competitive cities, and those slots are always visibly labelled. A directory that hides which listings are paid stops being worth trusting — and an untrusted directory stops ranking.
Where our data comes from
Listings are built from public business data and Google Business Profiles, then de-duplicated and checked for whether the business is still operating. Ratings and review counts are Google's, not testimonials we collected. If something is wrong on your listing, claim it and fix it directly.
